Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
Rated too low by 247 , if you look at his offer list. Apparently a bunch of other good programs who also 'never looked at a star rating'.
Woohoo! Good get.
Welcome Cain.
,
@thehoosierhuddle great get!!! Very nice job by the staff, flip from UCLA while holding off Michigan.
BEAT PURDUE
Cain is able
@tmft Man, on top of last year's class, we should have a really strong LB corp to develop. Looking forward to seeing these guys on special teams and working their way into PT over the next few years. Good opportunity for a couple guys to get a head start this year with the lack of proven depth behind Jones and Hardy.

Haines is cooking on the trail.
We've got Mayfield, Hobbs and C.B. this cycle to go along with Henry O., Williams and Savage from last years class.
That's an embarrassment of riches when it comes to linebackers.
@boogie Do you (or Sammy or anyone who's privy to practice details) have a guess as to the freshman LBs and who might be the most likely to step up into some PT?
Haines will field a fresh lineup of backers throughout the season. Nobody gets overplayed and the best are full go for lengthy post season runs. I love the way we use linebackers. Wide range of options for custom looks. Go Hoosiers!
@boogie that young talent learning from our elder studs is a recipe for sustainability. I remember hearing that Hobbs was viewed as a likely flip to Louisville. You have a finger on the pulse as solidly as anyone, is that line of thinking still out there?
I just hope they're able to use guys further down the depth chart on special teams. At the end of the playoff run we were definitely dancing with the ones that brung us, having guys like Kamara, Jones, Becker, & Ndukwe making plays on special teams. But they were getting wore out by the end of it all.
Seeing how Kaiden Turner improves for his last run will be a crucial part of the story for this defense. Last year, Jones was able to come in as the 3rd LB or to spell Aiden or Rolijah in the 2-backer sets. Didn't put too much on him and he performed really really well. If Turner can move into that role as Jones & Rolijah lock down the starting two, we'll be in really good shape as far as starters go. Utzinger gave some good limited reps last year. One or two more guys being able to be dependable enough to get quality snaps and that's enough depth to go for the year and absorb a couple injuries that happen along the way.

People thought since Brown and Hobbs are related, they would follow each other. I'm sure Hobbs could still leave, but I haven't heard of that being in the process.
The staff thinks they're getting a good one in Hobbs.

I have my doubts on whether any of the freshman will serious PT, but Savage flashed in the spring game.
At this time, it's Hardy and Jones as starters with Turner at #3.
@boogie Savage might be a better name for an LB than Turbo is for a RB!
