I remember watching Savage junior year hudl highlights when he committed. I thought yeah, good, not sure if great... Others were more gushing here. I hoped they were right and Cig and staff had uncovered an underrated guy.
Now I watched his senior year highlights, and he looks like a wrecking ball. Heck, a wrecking crew. Those excited about him early were right. I am excited about him now. He reminds me of Aiden, with potential for even more power and speed.
We only play 2 at a time. wonder is any are being looked at for DE

as a base, yeah. But Aiden, Rolijah, and Isaiah were all on the field at the same time a lot last year. They’ll find situations where they’ll get 3 guys on the field if it puts them in the best position to make stops. The X factor is how good our rovers are. If we get a true game changer at that position then we’ll see 3 LBs very infrequently.
@tmft I was just about to point this out. They went 3 backers a lot last year. Honestly, it seemed like a majority of the last half of the season. Haines really has already proven himself to be so adaptive and able to shift with his roster. Let’s hope we get another year or two before they come hunting for him as a head coach.
@openwheel Fischer is the comp that I keep hearing for Cain. I think we've got a really good crop of freshmen LBs, but he and Mayfield could well be an outstanding LB core for more than a year. Both have great size too, just entering their senior years. Think both are listed at 230#s, and I think all 3 of the freshmen we have this year were listed at 220 or lighter coming in.
