Last night my dream came true. Alabama and Indiana will play in the Rose Bowl. Both my sons attended Bama. They think they'll smoke us. I can't wait to play. Didn't see value facing Oklahoma. No fun for family chatter like: "if you want to stay in the will, you'll root for the Hoosiers." Massive grin! Crazy times. Go Hoosiers and Happy Holiday's to the board. Mobile!
@mobilehoosier Bama fans and other fans of the blue bloods can't help themselves. The SEC bias is real, and as an SEC member, they're 100% bought in, as well as knowing IU's history, including getting boat-raced by OSU and ND last year.
It's so surreal, as an IU fan to watch that game last night, and think that was just awful, mistake-prone football. They will have a big athletic advantage, but IU will not make the mistakes and beat themselves like both those teams did last night. Bama has the talent and if they can put it together, they certainly could beat us, but they'll have to play a ton better than they did last night.
Couldn't swing going out to Pasadena, but I bought Peach Bowl tix this morning, just knowing that Bama fans will be snapping up tix if they win and IU fans will still keep demand high if for some reason I can't go. Figured I'd have them locked in and can get rid of them if I can't go for any reason.
@mobilehoosier I think it is obvious by my profile name I wanted this game also. Buffed Prime T-Cal thought this was the better match up for us saying we win by 20. That may have changed after last night.

The Bama fans are like OSU fans. They are out in full force calling IU trash. Instead of engaging them, I just agree with them. "There's no way Bama can lose to IU, I agree. I mean.....how embarrassing would it be to lose to Indiana??? A team who hasn't won a single game in the postseason since 1991." That fan base will bark enough to humble this team right back to where we need to be at kick-off....the 7pt favorite underdog.
It's wild being the center of attention like this. We got some of that with the BTCG, but now it's really ratcheting up.
I'm sure many will pick against us and there will be the typical back and forth online. That's part of it.
As usual it'll be up to us to prove it on the field.
So be it. If we play well we've got a good chance to win. Go IU.
Bammers still think Nick Saban is their coach. If he was their coach, yes I give the edge to Bama, but he's not. It's going to be fun to see their QB manhandled.
As another IU alum and Bama resident, I'm so damn glad we got this matchup! Can't wait to text all my buddies as I walk back from the Rose Bowl stadium to read their excuses for losing so badly to the lowly Hoosiers!!
