My 2 cents- I was hoping our recruiting class was going to be loaded at this point. I know that is not realistic but a guy can dream.
@iugradman Nobody knows what other schools are really offering. You are dealing with agents who will pump up any offer to get more money. Until the schools make public what they are paying (they won't), everyone is going off of what an agent tells them.

@boogie Yep. The staff knows, but I they still go off what an agent is telling them another school is offering. It's almost a blind open market since none of these numbers are actually public.
There should be a couple guys making decisions in the next week or two as well.

Otherwise just work the portal or play Moneyball.We are playing moneyball. Like every other NCAA team including all other big time contenders like us.
Our HS class is looking good. Looks balanced. I thought we had more D-line but now I see two on dee two on O-line. No doubt some years we emphasize O-line , or QB or LB or wherever. Would Cig like having an additional $50 million to get nearly every 4 and 5 star he could? Of course.
Downing on the approach of the coach (and admin) who is nationally famous as the ace of moneyball is silly.

@thehoosierhuddle Yep... and landing him initially isn't the same as him actually showing up next summer. Its just the next step in seeing him in an IU uniform. Conversely, if he chooses someone else... I hope Cig and IU stay on him, as that street can, and should, go both ways. Especially if IU has another successful year and guys like Becker and Marsh get drafted. And not to mention if guys like Cooper and Sarratt show out well in their rookie seasons. Monshun Sales won't make or break our program, but it'd be really fun to get his commitment, for him to keep it, and to see him in an IU uniform next season!
Nick Marsh having a big year could go a long way toward getting transfers in future years, at something we can afford. I think our O-line and D-line have shown success, so portal guys should know we are a good destination. Now we need a diva, ahem , excuse me, a top portal receiver (just a joke toward receivers everywhere, lol, not toward Marsh at all who seems like a good guy.) to ball out his first year here.

Mayfield moved up his commitment date about a month. It seems like it will be between IU and Georgia, but IU is in a good spot here last I heard
