I look at the Brock Shott recruitment a little differently, than others. While he does not fit the production over stars criteria, I look at him as being similar to a high school recruit. If I remember correctly, he has 4 years of eligibility and was able to get valuable post high school training. As all on the team he will earn his rewards.
@spfldbill - He has clear physical traits. He set the all-time Miami squat record of 560lbs. Considering the level of TE's that have come out of there, that's promising. Then he ran 21mph, which was the fastest time in the TE room at Miami. So the kid has the physical traits and with good coaching, they must feel like they can mold him into their perfect tight end.
@olympian97 It's why I don't see much value in posting every time a decent player hits the portal. Cig is going to evaluate them on so many non-traditional characteristics it's not of much value. It's like the Boston owner said in Moneyball: "anyone not tearing it down and rebuilding using your methods is a dinosaur".
Isn’t the Gowers punter a grandfather? 😂😂
Collects S/S monthly, lol.
Do you think we will lose anyone to the portal we really want to keep?
29 years old? The haters are gonna love that. 😂
We got a 29 year year old that isn't the 7th year player we picked up earlier this cycle.
What a world.
@boogie Can't wait to hear what the SEC haters of the Hoosiers have to say about our soon to be 30 year old punter. He has 3 remaining years of eligibility.
Being an Australian, Billy Gowers might be able to get a sweet NIL deal with Outback Steakhouse down on 3rd Street
Isn’t the punter old man Gowers kid, the guy who owned the pharmacy in Bedford falls?……..😏
