Top Player: Elijah Sarratt-one of 6 Big Ten players to eclipse 900 plus receiving yds. last season. He also had 18 receptions of 20 plus yds. tied for 2nd in the Big Ten.
Curt Cignetti's Hoosiers rewrote the school record book last season with 11 victories& he's looking to run it back this year with transfer QB Fernando Mendoza. INDIANA returns 16 starters from that 11-win team & if Mendoza can be as good as Kurtis Rourke was, the Hoosiers might deliver another special season. The team went undefeated when they gained 122 or more yds on the ground, which means former Maryland RB star, Roman Hemby should enjoy the offense.
Let's not forget how good Cignetti & staff have been at developing players, as well as acquiring them in the portal.
Like Oregon, INDIANA ought to fall forward & get 10 wins. The only teams on the Hoosiers' schedule ranked in my top 25 are Ill., PSU, & Oregon.
Can't stop thinking we are better at many levels. QB transfer went from Miami of Ohio to Cal. CR was great but Mendoza should be an upgrade. That argument can be made at several spots. Excited to see how we end up. Go Hoosiers!
