Weekly Recruiting Round-Up

The Hoosiers did not add to the 14 hard commits they have for the 2017 season. High school football is in full swing across America and the future of Indiana football is scattered on high school football fields across the country. Indiana has this week open and the coaches will be scattered across the state and country to find more future Hoosiers.

Juan Harris

3-star recruit from Janesville, Wisconsin. 6’4”, 368-pounds Defensive Tackle. National Position Rank 56th, State Ranked 6th

Harris’ Parker High Vikings won 45-6 in their first game of the season, but has dropped the next three to fall to 1-3. 

Derrius Mullins

3-star recruit from Columbus, Ohio. 6’4” 354-pound Defensive Tackle. National Position Ranked 51st, State Ranked 28th

Mullins is a three-year two-way start at defensive tackle and left tackle. Named Division III Second Team All-Ohio and First Team All-Central District as a defensive lineman.  Mullins’ team has dominated so far this season going 4-0, winning by a combined 173-38 score in three games this season. 

Bryant Fitzgerald

3-star recruit from Avon, Indiana. 6’0” 200-pound Athlete. National Position Ranked 51st, State Ranked 7th.

Coming off a monster game where he had a 94-yard interception return for a touchdown, Fitzgerald added 10 more tackles, two more sacks, and 97 kick return yards to his stat sheet this season in a 30-22 loss. Fitzpatrick now has 36 tackles this season.

LeShuan Minor

3-star recruit from Indianapolis, Indiana. 6’3” 293-pound Defensive Tackle. National Position ranked 62nd, State Ranked 10th.

After outscoring their opponents 197-64 in their first four wins, Minor’s team suffered their first loss of the season in a 20-7 game. Sometimes it’s good for recruits to understand they’re not going to win them all, especially when playing for a program that isn’t a powerhouse. 

Calab Jones

3-star recruit from Indianapolis, Indiana. 6’9” 380-pound Offensive Tackle. National Position Ranked 86th, State Ranked 11th. 

Jones’ Lawrence North Wildcats are now 2-2 this season after a 35-27 win this week.

Alfred Bryant

3-star recruit from Manvel, Texas. 6’2” 236-pound Defensive End. National Position Ranked 48th, State Ranked 134th.

Bryant has 11 total tackles, two sacks, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery in three games this season

Britt Beery

3-star recruit from Carmel, Indiana. 6’6” 250-pound Defensive End. National Position Ranked 51st, State Ranked 16th. 

Beery’s Carmel Greyhounds dominated this week, winning 65-27 this week.

Peyton Hendershot

3-star recruit from Lizton, Indiana. 6’4” 215-pound Tight End. National Position Ranked 46th, State Ranked 17th.

Hendershot is having a very productive senior season, recording 19 catches, 265 yards, and four touchdowns in four games this season. Hendershot also has 15 total tackles and one sack on defense.

Harry Crider

3-star recruit from Columbus, Indiana. 6’4” 260-pound Center. National Position Ranked 10th, State Ranked 18th.

Crider’s Columbus East Olympians are 3-1 this season, coming off a huge 36-0 win this season.

Michael Ziemba

3-star recruit from Lake Mary, Florida. 6’3” 245-pound Tight End. National Position Ranked 63rd, State Ranked 187th.

Ziemba’s Lake Mary Rams fell to 0-3 this season after a 28-7 loss last week.

Tyler Knight

3-star recruit from St. Petersburg, Florida. 6’5” 275-pound Offensive Tackle. National Position Ranked 128th, State Ranked 199th. 

Northside Christian suffered their first lost of the season after a 40-35 game last week. 

LaDamian Hunt

3-star recruit from Carrollton, Georgia. 6’0” 183-pound Cornerback. National Position Ranked 162nd, State Ranked 161st.

Hunt has 16 tackles and two pass deflections in three games this season.

Tramar Reece

3-star recruit from Clearwater, Florida. 6’3” 210-pound Defensive End. National Position Ranked 88th, State Ranked 301st. 

Reece recorded five tackles, one sack, and one rushing touchdown in one game this season.

Thomas Allen

3-star recruit from Tampa, Florida. 6’3” 235-pound Inside Linebacker. National Position Ranked 84th, State Ranked 303rd.

Allen has five tackles in one game this season.
