Graduate transfer quarterback Brandon Dawkins has left the Hoosier football program according to Tom Allen. Dawkins lost the quarterback battle to Peyton Ramsey last Thursday. Dawkins came in from Arizona to help shore up the quarterback position.

"We will be making that decision later this week" is what Tom Allen told reporters on the field of Memorial Stadium on Monday morning as the Hoosiers finished up a light practice.
The quarterback battle has been highly speculated upon over the three-week long fall camp and the Hoosiers want a decision to be made between Peyton Ramsey, Brandon Dawkins and Michael Penix before their mock game on Saturday.

The quarterback competition has been burning for the last month in Bloomington as the Hoosiers have completed 13-of-15 spring practices. Late on Tuesday night, gas was thrown on that fire as graduate transfer Brandon Dawkins will be putting on the Cream and Crimson this fall. The announcement was first reported by ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.
