A source confirmed a report from 247 Sports that Indiana quarterback Peyton Ramsey has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Monday afternoon with Hoosier Huddle. Ramsey will be a graduate transfer, with one year of eligibility remaining, after four years with the Hoosiers. Ramsey helped lead the Hoosiers to an 8-5 (5-4) season in 2019 after filling in for an injured Michael Penix Jr. He threw for 2,454 yards and 13 touchdowns as a redshirt junior it 2019 and won Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week three times.

By entering the Transfer Portal, Ramsey is free to explore his options. However, he can take his name out at any point. In for seasons with the Hoosiers Ramsey played in 32 games, including 24 starts. He potentially leaves IU with 7,431 total yards, 6,581 passing yards, which is fourth all-time in IU football history, and 56 total touchdowns. Ramsey’s 633 career completions are second all-time in Indiana football history only behind Ben Chappell (651), he completed 66.5 percent of his passes which tops Indiana’s all-time list.
