The Indiana Hoosiers football program hosted another weekend of ‘Junior Days’ this past weekend and Hoosier Huddle caught up with Adrian Walker, a three-star prospect out of Michigan.

“It was a great experience, more than what I expected.” Walker said. “My favorite activity was the position meeting with (DB coach) Coach Ola Adams and bonding with him.”

Walker plays both ways at Belleville High School as a wide receiver and defensive back. IU looks to be recruiting him on the defensive side of the ball.

“Coach Ola Adams’ history definitely surprised me. He coached one of the best defenses in college football last year at Penn State in 2023 at the defensive back coach position. He coached the Denver Broncos and Patrick Surtain. He’s been at a lot of great programs and has a great history of sending defensive backs to the NFL.” Walker explained.

Once again, the pedigree that new head coach Curt Cignetti is bringing to IU is resonating with recruits.

“The staff is building a winning program. The new staff Coach Cig has brought in hasn’t (done) anything but win at every program each coach has coached at. I see big things coming at Indiana.” Walker explained.

Walker was also impressed with the strength and conditioning program where new coordinator Derek Ownings is starting his first offseason with IU.

“He cares about the players body the most. He develops his players. Gets them faster, stronger, leaner, and in shape. Tells them what not to eat and what to eat.” Walker said.

While Walker enjoyed his day in Bloomington, it is still early in his recruitment. He has 12 offers including Power Four offers from Colorado, Indiana, LSU and Michigan State.
