Kevin Wilson's #INvasion Camps a Hit WIth Coaches and Players

The INvasion satellite camps idea had be stewing in Hoosier head coach Kevin Wilson's head since March. The event which covered the state from Ft. Wayne to Brownsburg had an estimated 550 participants. As the sun set on a perfect Indiana summer evening, Kevin Wilson reflected on the day and his brain child.
"I thought it was good, I hope it came across really good to not only the recruits but the high school coaches and the people in central Indiana." Wilson said.
The Hoosier assistants who helped coach the campers at each stop thought the campaign was a hit as well. New defensive coordinator Tom Allen stated, "The bottom line is that the high school coaches have been extremely encouraged by it. They're fired up that we're here. And for us to show that we're willing to bring our entire staff to their school and allow a kid to come here for free is a pretty strong commitment for us to support Indiana high school football."
The reviews were just a positive on the campers side of things. Bryant Fitzgerald, a member of the 2017 IU recruiting class and current player at Avon, said he "thought it was a great turnout and there was a lot of raw talent that was there." Bryant also added that others "enjoyed the camp and thought it was some good competition."
Mark Stickford, a junior at Carmel high school, told us he "thought it was great for (IU) to have a local camp where everyone could get better. As far as I know all the guys I was with enjoyed the camp and felt the same as I did." Stickford attended the big man camp as Westfield high school.
Wilson would like to make these camps an annual event, however with the fluidity of the recruiting rules it may not be possible to, but for this year the book can be closed on a successful INvasion of Indiana.
