Jaylen Bell Wants to Be at a Place with People Who Win and Know What's Best for Him

The Indiana Hoosiers wrapped up one of their biggest recruiting weekends of the Curt Cignetti Era. Jaylen Bell was one of the players who walked away impressed enough to commit to IU during his time in Bloomington. Bell, a former LSU commit, loved what he felt at IU.

“I want to be around people who want the best for me and who are winners. Indiana knows how much I produce on the field and how much I can help the program coming in day one. I believe that coach Cignetti and his staff will get me to the next level.” Bell told Hoosier Huddle.

The plan is to play Bell at both the corner and nickel corner position when he arrives on campus. Where ever he lines up, Bell wants the fans to know they have a good one.

“Cig is choosing the kids that produce on the field no matter how big, fast, strong, or whatever rating/ranking you are . If you can make plays, he’s choosing you because at the end of the day, you are who you and it’s football. You play how you play. They see that in me because I am a playmaker. I make plays every time I step on the field no matter who I go against or where I’m at.” Bell explained.

The Indiana coaching staff jumped in on Bell after he de-committed from LSU and created, what Bell calls, an unbreakable bond.

“Coach Tino (Sunseri), coach (Rob) Ojong, coach Eddie (Burks), and coach Frank were all consistently texting and calling my phone every day since I decommitted from LSU. The connection I built with them since then is unbreakable.” Bell said.

This is a new Indiana and Bell wants to be apart of that transformation.
