Indiana will Play Tennessee in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on January 2nd

The Indiana Hoosiers will be heading to the TaxSlayer Gator to play the Tennessee Volunteers on January 2nd at 7pm at TIAA Bank Field.

This is the 12th bowl game, and first one in Florida, in IU football history. It will be the second all-time meeting between Indiana and Tennessee on the gridiron. The last meeting came in the 1988 Peach Bowl played in Atlanta in January of 1988 after the 1987 season. The Volunteers defeated the Hoosiers 27-22.

There was a bit of drama in selecting the opponent from the SEC, but it was ultimately announced at 4:30pm that Tennessee would be the opponent.
