Indiana Football's big week started with a bang as the Hoosiers landed running back Ronnie Walker on Monday afternoon. Walker is rated as a four-star player on 247 Sports Composite rankings and is listed as the 319th best player in the country. Both 247 Sports and Scout.com list him as the best running back in the east region.

Walker has a long list of accolades. As a junior in 2016 he won the 3A East Region Player of the Year, Conference 26 Player of the Year and was named first team All-State. As a junior he averaged 8.04 yards per carry on 2250 carries (2,011 yard) and scored 25 touchdowns.

At 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, Walker is the perfect size for a Big Ten back. He can run between the tackles and make defenders miss in space. Indiana beat out Michigan State and Virginia for his services. Walker held offers from 14 schools including Duke, North Carolina State, Navy, North Carolina, Northwestern, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech as well as the three schools listed above. Walker is IU's 15th commitment in the 2018 recruiting class and his pledge pushes IU up to 52nd nationally and 11th in the Big Ten. Fans can view his highlight tape below.
