Hoosiers Receive Christmas Day Gift in Three-Star LB Mo Burnam

Everyone loves presents under the tree on Christmas Day and the Hoosiers got to unwrap a commitment from three-star linebacker Mo Burnam. Burnam, 6-foot-2 219-pound outside linebacker was a one-time Tennessee commit. He de-committed from the Volunteers after taking an official visit to Indiana on December 9th.

According to his HUDL profile Burnam runs a 4.62 40-yard dash, can bench 275 lbs and squat 415 lbs. Burnam is an outside linebacker who could give the Hoosiers a much needed edge rusher as well as just solid overall linebacker play. He's fast and strong and could be in the mix to play as a true freshman depending on what personnel returns in 2017 for IU. 

In his announcement on Twitter, Burnam said:

Well, it is finally time. I am ready to make my ultimate college decision as I look forward to continuing my educational and athletic career at a Division I institution.
It was hard to narrow down double-digit offers to just one school, but when it came down to it, I finally decided that the best place for me to grow as a man on and off the field for the next three to four years was at THE Indiana University!!
I really felt at home when I really got to know the players and the coaches. The environment is beautiful, the students are one of a kind, and I just love everything about the Hoosier family.
I will miss the friends and family in Georgia who I grew up with that supported me through this whole process. I will always remember the impact you had on me throughout my childhood and your constant belief in me over the last few years. 
With that said, I am so excited to head to Bloomington and focus on winning some Big Ten Championships! Go Hoosiers!

The three-star prospect out of Conyers, Georgia (Salem H.S.) is the 40th best player at his position and the 969th best prospect in the nation. He holds offers from 11 schools, including Tennessee, Louisville and West Virginia. His commitment moves the Hoosiers up one spot to 58th nationally in 247Sports recruiting rankings.
