Former Indiana linebacker Chris Covington wrapped up his time in Bloomington in November, but his dreams of playing at the next level just received a shot in the arm as he has accepted to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Pasadena, CA on January 20th. Postseason all-star games are a great way to impress NFL scouts.

Covington had an outstanding year for the Hoosiers in 2017. The six-foot-two, 230-pound Illinois native finished the year with 85 tackles, 12 coming for a loss with three sacks and a fumble recovery. For his career on defense, Covington made 115 tackles and 15 tackles for loss. He won this year's defensive MVP for the Hoosiers. Covington is also the first Hoosier to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and the second Hoosier this season to accept an invitation to a postseason all-star game.
