Cam Jones Officially Signs With The Hoosiers

Cam Jones, 6’2”, 210 pounds, Cordova, TN (St. Benedict), LB, 247Sports Composite Ranking: 3-star (84.76) 

Jones was one of the most coveted recruits in this Indiana class. He committed, de-committed and re-committed in a six-month span. Originally looked at as a wide receiver, Jones will be used at linebacker where he can be an instant impact player as a freshman.

Jones is a tremendous athlete, good enough to return punts for St. Benedict and accumulate 624 yards and seven touchdowns receiving and 251 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground during his senior season.

On defense, Jones is fast and can really hit. He made 82 total tackles including 14.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. If he can put on the necessary bulk, Jones can step right in and play Covington’s spot.

Jones was originally a Tennessee commitment before flipping to Indiana for the final time in October. Jones had 10 offers including Louisville, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Wake Forest.
