A day after locking in three recruits, the Hoosiers added another 247 Sports 3-Star linebacking prospect Greg Gooch. The 6'3" 245 lb. Florida native is the 26th player to verbally commit to the Hoosiers 2014 class. He has the size and the frame to play inside linebacker in the Big Ten and should fit well into the Hoosiers' new defensive scheme. Gooch brings some of that vaunted Florida speed as he was clocked with a 4.5 second 40-yard dash. Gooch also had offers from Cincinnati, Arizona, Iowa State, and Connecticut among others. One of the major bugaboos for the Hoosier defense has been team speed. It has been clear that recruiting speed has been a top priority in this Indiana class.
