2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 96 Days (Alejandro Quintero)

Written By Sammy Jacobs (@Hoosier_Huddle)

The Countdown to kickoff continues with number 96 Alejandro Quintaro who is looking to win the kickoff specialist job in his third season with the Hoosiers. The do-it-all special teamer can be a valuable asset to the Hoosiers if he can perform.

#96 – Alejandro Quintero

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 205 pounds

Hometown: Tyler, Texas (Grace Community/Blinn College)

Class/Position: RS Junior /Punter

Quintero enters his third season in Bloomington after transferring in from Blinn College. He has played in just two games in those two years as the backup kickoff specialist. Quintero came to IU as a triple threat with his leg. He kicked off, kicked field goals and punted at Blinn and is an option at each position.

IU needs to figure out their place kicking and their kickoff specialist positions in fall camp. Quintero is competing against transfer Derrick McCormick and redshirt freshman Nico Radicic for the place kicking and kickoff specialist positions.

The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kickoff continues each and every day so be sure to check back often for the latest profile piece!
