Class/Position: Freshman /Running Back

Kyler Kropp is a versatile player who played wide receiver at New Palestine and will likely switch to running back at IU. He will play wherever this coaching staff puts him. In a story from Matt Weaver of Peegs.com, Kropp has been attending IU games with his grandparents forever.

"Growing up I would go to my grandparents every Saturday to watch the football game, which I think influenced me into really wanting to play for IU at a young age. I want my papaw to see me on TV in cream and crimson. It’s also only about an hour drive away from home, which my family loves." he said in the story.

Quality walk-ons are a vital part of the program and the hope is by the time they are upperclassmen they can contribute on the field in some fashion.

Kropp had a big senior year for New Pal as he led the team in both receiving yards (740) and rushing yards (562). He had 19 total touchdowns. For Kropp, he can still be at home IU games with his family, but his view has gotten much closer.
