2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 5 Days (Ke'Shawn Williams)

Written By Evan Alvarez

Welcome back to the 2024 Hoosier Huddle Countdown! From now until Indiana’s opening day against the FIU Golden Panthers, the Hoosier Huddle staff will feature every player on the Hoosiers football roster for 2024. Today, the featured player as we are 5 days out is #5 Ke’Shawn Williams.

Height: 5’ 9”

Weight: 189 pounds

Hometown: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

High School: Springside Chestnut Hill Academy

Class/Position: Senior+ / Wide Receiver

Previous Schools: Wake Forest University

Ke’Shawn Williams joined the Hoosiers’ strong wide receiver room as a transfer from Wake Forest University and instantly bolstered the skill level in an already skilled room. Coming in as a three star transfer after a productive four years at Wake Forest, Williams is no doubt looking to take another step forward in Curt Cignetti and Mike Shanahan’s high powered, pass-heavy offense.

According to iuhoosiers.com, Williams was a top 25 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania and, in addition to football, lettered in both basketball and track and field. His athleticism was on full display during his time at Wake Forest, returning several kicks, a couple punts, and even earning a few rushing attempts during his four years there.

For the Hoosiers, Williams brings speed, quickness, and elusiveness - something the Indiana football program has needed for years. Look for Williams to make an impact in the slot and in really any position on the field where he can run into space. In one of his best games at Wake Forest against a fantastic Liberty University program, Williams put on a show for 129 receiving yards. Check it out below.

On the Pro Football Focus (PFF) side of things, Ke’Shawn ranks very favorably compared to other wide receivers in the country. In 2023, Williams ranked in the top 25% of wide receivers graded across the country (~550 receivers qualified based on snap count). Entering 2024, Williams brings high upside explosion and will look to build on an already impressive resume.

The Hoosier Huddle countdown to kickoff continues with day 4 tomorrow.
