2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 13 Days (Cedarius Doss)

Written By Nick Gonzales (@nrgonzales_)

The 2024 Hoosier Huddle Countdown to kickoff continues with 13 days until the start of the Hoosier’s football season! Every day, we take a look at players on the current roster and highlight their roles in the upcoming season. With less than two weeks left for our countdown, today we are looking at number 13, defensive back Cedarius Doss.

Name: Cedarius Doss

Hometown: Birmingham, Alabama (Ramsay)

Position: Defensive Back

Year: Redshirt Senior +

Height/Weight: 5’8”/179 pounds

Social Media: Twitter: (@DadaDoss1)

Doss is one of the new faces joining the program this offseason. He spent three seasons at Austin Peay from 2021-23 and appeared in 21 games with 15 of those appearances being starts. Before that, he made two appearances during his two seasons at Tuskegee from 2019-20. He has now made his way to Bloomington and is ready to show his talents on the field.

Since 2022, Doss has recorded 50 total tackles, 11 passes defended, 4 interceptions (one of those being a touchdown), a forced fumble, and a sack. Doss is a skilled defender and a seemingly great fit for the Hoosiers. In 2023, he was named first-team FCS All-American by PFF, Second Team All-United Athletic Conference, and was selected as UAC Defensive Player of the Week after Austin Peay defeated Stephen F. Austin in week 4.

Doss showed he can play in a Power 4 conference during a game against number 9 ranked Tennessee (9/9/23) where he recorded 7 tackles (5 solo), a pass defended, and a forced fumble. Doss has shown he is a beast on the field, so we’ll see where they place him in the depth chart. He will be a fun player to watch when he touches the grass and he’s excited to show off his abilities in one of the most prestigious conferences.

The Hoosier Huddle Countdown to Kickoff continues with Day 12 tomorrow!
