The bull position, IU’s rush end position, is tasked with creating the havoc Tom Allen wants. They are led by second year player Myles Jackson, Lannell Carr Jr and Oregon transfer Anthony Jones. Rounding out the group is freshman Ta’Derius Collins and Andrew Turvy.

The Starter

Lanell Carr Jr. - Senior - 6’1/243

Carr transferred to the program after appearing in 27 games for the West Virginia Mountaineers. Last season, he racked up 21 tackles, 4.5 for a loss and a sack. Carr Jr. is amazing depth piece for Tom Allen and his program. He’s got the talent to really put himself on the map this year for the Hoosiers. Carr has had an impressive fall camp for the Hoosiers and may have played his way into the starting role.

Myles Jackson -Redshirt Junior- 6’2 / 255

Jackson started out his collegiate career at UCLA before transfer to the Hooisers. He enters his second year with the program after a solid first season. He played in all 12 games for IU last year. He made 18 total tackles including two for a loss. His momentum changing plays for the Hooisers against Western Kentucky and Nebrsaka last season are hopefully a sign of things to come.

Depth Pieces

Anthony Jones - Redshirt Freshman - 6’5, 242

Jones transfers to the program after joining the Oregon Ducks out of high school. He was a sought out recruit and top 40 in the country according to 247 and Rivals. He appeared in two games last season including the Holiday Bowl. Jones picked teh Hoosiers over offers from Cal, Texas Tech, San Diego State, and Utah State. Jones has tremendous talent and can make game changing plays. His frame along with his ability to bull rush puts him a good spot this season for a bunch of playing time. Also, in the near future he could be a leader of this football team.

Ta’Derius Collins - Freshman - 6’4 /240

A late add to the 2023 recruiting class Collins tallied 64 tackles, 12 sacks and three forced fumbles at Northwood High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was top 20 recruit in the state and has tremendous ability ot rush the passer. The true freshman will have a bunch of time to develop but in the near future he’ll be a star for the program.

Andrew Turvy - Redshirt Sophmore - 6’2/244

A walk on from Carmel High School Turvy was all state and all conference tallying 163 tackles, nine sacks and one interception during his 2021 campaign. He earned multiple player of the week awaited and appeared in five games last season. He has a tremendous work ethic and will be seeing the field this season.
