Every day, we look at players on the current roster and highlight the players' roles in the upcoming season. Today we look at transfer defensive linemen Trey Laing.

Laing transfers to Bloomington after putting up impressive numbers at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He played in all 12 games tallying 38 tackles, 14 for a loss, and 5 sacks. He was used in a hybrid roll such as the one the Hoosiers use the bull position.
His football career has been quite the journey as he has moved around a lot. He orginally started at the University of Southern Flordia before transferring to Eastern Mississippi Community College before Southern University. The Hoosiers will be his fourth program in the past six years.
The Bull position suits Laing as he can play somewhat of a hybrid roll for the Hoosiers. He was recruited by Kasey Teegardin who loved what he saw from the young man.
