2023 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 35 Days (Aaron Stewart)

The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Huddle Countdown is officially underway! We are counting down from 100 to the beginning of the 2023 Indiana University football season. Each day, we will take a look at one (or two) players on the current Indiana football roster and highlight the player’s role in the upcoming season. Today’s profile features redshirt freshman defensive back Aaron Stewart.

Name: Reece Lozano

Hometown: Ft. Wayne, IN (Carroll)

Position: Running Back

Year: Redshirt Freshman

Height/Weight: 5’11”/174 pounds

Stewart is a walk-on defensive back from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He redshirted the 2022, but had a very productive high school career.

Stewart did not see the game field in 2022 but can play a vital role in getting the starters and rotational players ready for game week as part of the scout team.

Players like Stewart are important for the program’s overall health as he in an in-state player and one that was productive at a power high school like Carroll. The hope is that Stewart can dress for home games and work his way on to the game field in the coming years.
