Hello, Hoosiers fans and welcome to the 2022 Hoosier Huddle Countdown! We countdown from 100 days to the beginning of the 2022 Indiana University football season on September 2nd against the Fighting Illini. Every day, we look at players on the current roster and highlight the players' roles in the upcoming season. Today is #85 and diving into McCall Ray

Wideout McCall Ray walked on and redshirted his first year in the program earning Special Teams Player of the Week honors against Connecticut. The following season (2020) he did not see any game action but again received two awards for Special Teams Player of the Week. This past season McCall played in five games and earned Big-Ten Academic honors.

Expect Ray to make a presence on the practice field this season. He will see little to no game action, but he will make his teammates and fellow receivers better on the field. Head Coach Tom Allen and his coaching staff know that they need players like Ray in the program. As the countdown continues expect the team to be get prepared in the weight room as well as a practice field.
