2022 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 74 Days (Bray Lynch)

The heat is turning up in Indiana as the summer kicks into gear. We are just 74 days away from the Hoosiers kicking off the 2022 season against Illinois. Today’s Countdown to IUFB Kickoff featured player is incoming freshman offensive lineman Bray Lynch.

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 280 Pounds

Position: Offensive Line

Lynch maybe the best offensive lineman in the Hoosiers 2022 signing class. He helped Westlake to three-straight state titles and helped the offense average over 500 yards and 50 points last season. He earned All-American honors from MaxPreps and all-state accolades.

Lynch will need to bulk up closer to 300 pounds, but he would be a good pick to surprise some people and work his way into the rotation along the offensive line. At the very least, Lynch should play in four games and take a redshirt.

Indiana head coach Tom Allen is “so excited about Bray. Offensive tackle, 6'5", 280, out of Austin, Texas, Westlake High School. Got to see him play last week, which was a tremendous thrill for me. I only get one trip, so they had to keep winning. They're getting ready to play for a state championship this weekend, and just so impressed with that program, what Coach dodge has done there.”

If Lynch can acclimate quickly to the college game, he could be a swing player on the line who can fill in at tackle or on the inside at guard.
