The Hoosier Huddle countdown to kickoff is almost in its final month! For the 100 days leading up to kickoff, we at Hoosier Huddle will feature every player from the 2022 roster in anticipation of Indiana’s first game of the season against Illinois in Bloomington. Today, we will highlight two members of the Hoosiers: Connor Hole and David Holloman.
Connor Hole (Redshirt Sophomore)
Hometown: Jamestown, Indiana
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 177 Pounds
Position: Defensive Back
Connor Hole played high school football, basketball, and track for Western Boone High School before joining the Hoosiers as a walk-on during 2020 fall camp. Hole had a solid high school career; the team captain and four-year starter set the school record for punt return yardage (411) and punt returns (22) in a single season and tallied 240 total tackles, nine interceptions, and 15 pass breakups on defense. His efforts earned him scholarship offers to Valparaiso and Marian University, but he ultimately chose to join the Hoosiers as a preferred walk-on.
Hole has not yet registered playing time for the Hoosiers, but he has twice earned special team scout team player of the week honors. He was a 2021 Academic All-Big Ten honoree last season, studying criminal justice. His One Word for 2022 is Earnest.
