2021 Countdown to Kickoff: 5 Days Part II (Juwan Burgess)

Five days remain until kickoff of the 2021 IU football season. The Hoosiers will kick off the season against Iowa on Sept. 4th. Make sure to keep checking the Hoosier Huddle website each day for a new player in the 100-day countdown. The 5th player is red-shirt senior Juwan Burgess.

Height: 6’1’’

Weight: 199 pounds

Hometown: Tampa,FL.

Position: DB

Burgess was a very strong player during the 2019 season where he totaled 29 tackles, two for loss, two pass deflections, and two fumble recoveries. In 2020, Burgess appeared in six games where he made eight tackles.

During his freshman season, Burgess totaled 25 tackles and made a strong impact on the defensive side of the ball.

While Burgess took a step back in playing time and production last year, he still showed his potential and will be a key depth piece to the secondary this season.
