It was a huge weekend for Tom Allen and the Hoosiers as they announced plans to allow full capacity at football games this fall and also gained commitment from four-star cornerback Trevell Mullen and three-star linebacker Isaiah Jones. With all the visits and camps taking place in June, we expect that this weekend was the first spark. Hoosier Huddle’s Official Countdown to 2021 IU Football Kickoff is 25 percent complete today. There exactly 75 days until the Hoosiers go head to head with the Hawkeyes in Iowa City to kick off the 2021 season. We have put together a first glance preview, and each day until gameday we will feature a player on this year’s roster, and also remember the glorious times of some IU football greats.

Three-star linebacker Isaiah Jones committed to Indiana football Sunday afternoon. Jones is ranked the No. 35 recruit in Ohio, the No. 99 linebacker in the nation, and No. 1000 overall in the Class of 2022 by 247 Sports.

Trevell Mullen, a 4-star rated priority recruit in the 2022 class for Tom Allen and his staff, pledged his commitment to the Indiana Hoosiers today. Trevell is the younger brother of Clemson-turned-Las Vegas Raiders cornerback TrayvonMullen and first-team All American Tiawan Mullen, who as Hoosier fans know is currently on the Indiana roster. Trevell is ranked 181st in the class of 2022 and the 22nd best cornerback in the nation by 247Sports Composite. Mullen held 12 total offers from the likes of Penn State, Miami, West Virginia, Syracuse,and Auburn, among others, but ultimately decided to follow in Tiawan’s footsteps and head to Bloomington.

Bloomington, Indiana - We’re back…or make that, you’re back.
Indiana University Athletics plans to permit full capacity at Memorial Stadium for the 2021 IU Football season, IU Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Dolson announced today. Full capacity is also planned for all of IU’s other home fall athletic events.

Two more individuals have been indicted in the tragic murder of former IU football player and local businessman Chris Beaty.
On June 17, a grand jury indicted Alijah Jones and NakeyahShields on charges of felony murder, five counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery. Both individuals were arrested on Thursday. They join Marcus Anderson as individuals charged with the May 30, 2020 murder of the man known as “Mr. Indianapolis”.
