The accolades keep coming in for the Hoosier passing attack on Monday. Hours after Indiana wide receiver Ty Fryfogle won his second consecutive Big Ten Player of the Week Award, the man throwing the ball, Michael Penix Jr., was named to the Davey O’Brien Award Great 8 List.

Three Indiana Hoosier players have been named to the prestigious Maxwell Award Watch List. Each year the Maxwell Football Club presents the Maxwell Award for the College Player of the Year. This award is presented in honor of Robert W. (Tiny) Maxwell, legendary college player, official and sports columnist. Quarterback Michael Penix, wide receiver Whop Philyor and running back Stevie Scott III all made the preseason watch list for the award given to the College Football Player of the Year. Anthony Thompson is the only Hoosier to ever win the award (1989).

The Wuerffel Trophy, known as "College Football's Premier Award for Community Service," is presented each February in Fort Walton Beach. Named after 1996 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback from the University of Florida, Danny Wuerffel, the Wuerffel Trophy exists to honor college football players who serve others, celebrate their positive impact on society, and inspire greater service in the world.
Stevie Scott III lands on the Doak Walker Award Watch List for Nation's Top Running Back

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana junior running back Stevie Scott III for the second-straight year is a pre-season candidate for the Doak Walker Award, the PwC SMU Athletic Forum announced today. Forum annually presents the award to the nation's top college running back.
Scott enters 2020 needing 18 yards to become the 14th Hoosier to reach 2,000. He shares eighth in program history with 20 rushing touchdowns, is tied for 10th with nine 100-yard games and shares 11th with 22 total TDs (20 rushing, 2 receiving).
Peyton Ramsey Named Manning Star of the Week For the Second Time in 2019

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – For the second time this season, Indiana redshirt junior quarterback Peyton Ramsey is one of eight Manning Award "Stars of the Week," it was announced on Monday.
Fans can now go to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Facebook page to vote for what they think was the best performance from this past weekend. When voting closes on Thursday at noon ET, the top vote-getter will be announced as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana fifth-year senior Logan Justus is one of 20 semifinalists for the 2019 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award presented by the Orange Bowl, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission released on Thursday morning.
Justus is a semifinalist for the second-consecutive year and one of three past semifinalists vying for this season's award along with Georgia senior Rodrigo Blankenship and Arkansas senior Connor Limpert.
