What (Little) Worked and What Didn’t in the Bucket Game Loss

The disaster of a season came to an end for the Hoosiers on Saturday as they were torn apart by their rivals, Purdue, in a 44-7 loss. After starting the season ranked No. 17 in the nation, Indiana ended the season 2-10, unranked, and with no wins in the Big Ten or a Power Five team. Despite the rough outing, let’s go over the positives of the game.

Happy Friday, No. 7 Hoosiers fans! Yesterday was a huge day in history for Indiana as Tom Allen became the second IU football coach ever to be named Big Ten Coach of the Year. The Hoosiers have also set a program record with 16 All-Big Ten honors that have been earned this week.
We won’t have an Old Oaken Bucket game rematch, but IU gained new players Wednesday for early signing day. We have gotten to know these players and have watched them closely this year and have made profiles on each of the 14 guys who made their commitment official yesterday. Get to know them here.
