The news that so many Hoosier fans were waiting for was announced Thursday night at Lucas Oil Stadium  by head football coach Kevin Wilson. And the news is not good. Junior college transfer Camion Patrick will have to sit out the 2015 due to academic ineligibility. Patrick will be able to return to the field with two years of eligibility left in 2016. Patrick was a standout wide receiver at East Mississippi Community College, where he reached the end zone in every game last season. He caught 42 balls for 631 yards and 12 scores. He was figuring to play a prominent role in upgrading the Hoosiers' receiving corps.

Also, redshirt freshman running back Tommy Mister has decided to leave the program. No other details were given at the time, but the once heralded recruit saw his status slip behind other players  due to injury and performance. Wilson added that he probably would have been slotted behind Jordan Howard and Devine Redding

Other News and Notes

Wilson did not announce suspensions for defensive tackle Ralph Green or wide receiver Isaac Griffith at this time since he does not want to give the opponent a competitive advantage.
