Where Former Hoosiers Landed After the 2024 NFL Draft
/Written by Sammy Jacobs (@Hoosier_Huddle)
The Indiana Hoosiers were shut out of the NFL Draft for a second year in a row, however four former Hoosiers will have a shot to realize their professional dreams as they either received undrafted free agent contracts or rookie camp invites from teams. Here are where the former Hoosiers landed.
Undrafted Free Agents
Aaron Casey, Cincinnati Bengals- The former standout linebacker had 20 tackles for loss in 2023 for IU and is headed to the Bengals to try and make their roster. Casey participated in the NFL combine and his leadership skills along with his nose for the ball should help him at least make a practice squad.
Andre Carter, Jacksonville Jaguars- Carter was second on the team with 11 tackles for loss and is a physical specimen. While his sack numbers were not where he or anyone wanted them to be, he can bring value to an NFL team. While he may not be big enough to play an interior defensive line position at the next level, he could be used there in a pass rush package or special teams.
Rookie Camp Invitees
Sean Wracher, New York Giants
Wracher is one of the better long snappers coming out of college. The downside is that these jobs don’t open very often.
DeQuece Carter, New York Giants
Carter was the second leading receiver for IU in 2023 and was an all conference performer at Fordham. He has good hands and runs good routes. Carter also returns punts which could help him find his way on to a team’s radar.
