Tom Allen Provides Injury Update Ahead of Saturday's Game Against Maryland

The Indiana Hoosiers were without five key players against the Michigan Wolverines as the injury bug hit Bloomington again. This week the Hoosiers could be in for good news as Tom Allen gave an injury update ahead of the Hoosiers’ game against Maryland Saturday.

“ I would say after today's practice, and I will meet with our medical staff afterwards to get the final update. Still a game-time decision with D.J. [Matthews Jr.]. He is definitely making lots of progress. Jaylin Williams, same thing, game-time decision for him.” Allen said. “AJ Barner, as well [is a game-time decision]. Definitely getting some positive signs with him. I know that was one that definitely were concerned about, but he is progressing there. Javon Swinton should be good to go. Then, Cam Jones is going to be [out for] some more time. [Kahlil Benson] practiced this week and he is good to go.”

If the Hoosiers can get Matthews and Barner back, it would go a long way to help the offense find its footing. Matthews has not played since the Hoosiers loss at Cincinnati and Barner sat out last week’s loss to Michigan.
