Tom Allen and his Indiana football staff are starting to catch fire again on the recruiting trail as the Hoosiers landed their third prospect in 24 hours and their fifth in the month of June when Armwood High School (Seffner, FL) safety Aamaris Brown chose IU over Iowa State, Minnesota and 19 other schools. Brown is rated a three-star (82.15) prospect by 247Sports UPDATED RANKING.

According to 247Sports John Garcia Jr., who say Brown play in the NFA 7v7 National Championship earlier this month, Brown “made several plays for Team Tampa's defense. A long, physical presence, he worked well in underneath coverage and made a lot of plays on the football. He won with quickness and some pop on contact, even in this setting. He may project as a hybrid defender when it comes to the next level.”

As a junior at Armwood, Brown has a stellar year posting 48 total tackles and 12 passes defensed, including seven interceptions.

Brown made his announcement public on Twitter Monday morning saying

”First, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability and opportunity to play the game of football. Also I would like to thank family, friends, coaches and teammates for helping me become the player I am today on and off the field, without you guys none of this would’ve happened. I want to thank all the coaches who have recruited me throughout this process and gave me the opportunity to play at their school, with that being said I am excited to announce that I am 100% committed to Indiana University.”

Brown is IU’s ninth commitment in the 2020 class which currently sits at 59th nationally and 11th in the Big Ten.
