All-conference tight end Peyton Hendershot has returned to the Indiana football team following his arrest back in February and subsequent suspension. Head coach Tom Allen would not reveal the full extent to which Hendershot has rejoined the Hoosiers, but said he has returned in a "modified way".

Allen elaborated, "He's been involved with some position meetings and team meetings, so we've brought him back in a modified way. He's been involved with that. It’s (a) modified situation as he works through some things that we have no control over."

Hendershot has also been rehabbing from shoulder surgery he had during the offseason, so off-field issues aside, the tight end is still limited. Allen shared his thoughts on Hendershot's recovery: "He's been a part of getting his rehab in and getting his body right, and moving forward. So definitely progress and we continue to monitor that."

All indications are that Hendershot is cooperating with the university and law enforcement throughout this process. Allen reiterated, "He has at this point been brought back in a modified way with the team." Whether Hendershot will be a full participant this fall remains to be seen, but this news is a step in that direction.
