Little used Hoosier wide receiver Marqui Hawkins announced via Twitter that he will be stepping away from football after two seasons at Indiana since transferring from UAB.

Hawkins started his career at the University of Florida where he did not see any game action before transferring and sitting out a year at UAB. Hawkins landed at Indiana with Jordan Howard after UAB's football program folded. He appeared in three games in 2015 and was a four-time scout team player of the week. He did not appear in game action in 2016.
