IU Announces Black Jersey for Saturday Night's Game Against Akron

For the first time since in more than two decades, the Indiana Hoosiers will be wearing black uniforms. On Saturday night, the Hoosiers will take the field at Memorial Stadium wearing alternate black “Ghost uniforms”.
Black has been a small part of IU’s uniform this season with both the home and away jersey showcasing black as a trim color. Adidas helped to create the new alternate uniforms which feature all black tops, bottoms and socks along with the Hoosiers’ crimson helmet and white block-I logo. The letters and numbers are red and white with black socks and black gloves completing the ensemble.
It is currently unknown if this will be the only game the Hoosiers will be wearing these “Ghost uniforms” or if they will be a regular part of IU’s uniform rotation. Indiana takes on Akron at 7:30 pm EST on the Big Ten Network with hopes of improving to 2-2 on the young season.
