IU adds another 2025 commit in OL Baylor Wilkin
/Indiana added a third straight commit from the state of Ohio in the class of 2025 with OL Baylor Wilkin on Tuesday.
Wilkin becomes the third commit since Monday, joining DB Seonta Stewart and LB Paul Nelson. Wilkin is rated as a three-star prospect by 247 sports, and the 54th-best player in the talent-rich state of Ohio. Listed at 6’4”, 275lbs, Wilkin is listed as an interior offensive lineman, but is very athletic and figures to get a look at tackle. He camped with IU in mid-June, and picked up an offer from OL Coach Bob Bostad and Coach Cig after his standout performance. He’s become a hot name in recruiting circles of late, adding most of his D1 offers this offseason after a solid camping season.
While his offer list currently consists of non-P4 schools, there’s no doubt IU is taking a shot on his frame filling out a bit more and figure to have loved the positional flexibility he’ll provide. Bob Bostad has had a knack at finding some hidden gems along the OL, and Wilkin is a good candidate to come in, develop, and then produce.
Wilkin slots in as the 21st commit for Coach Cignetti’s first high school class for an IU class that currently sits around 40th nationally.
