The Indiana Football program will no longer be the butt of bad turf jokes, as Memorial Stadium will feature a brand new carpet this fall. The installation of the turf is nearing completion, so let's take a look at how the process went down.

Turf removal started on May ninth. Note the difference when you see the nearly completed project.

By May 11th the old turf was gone and the field was leveled out in preparation for the new turf.

A week later, on May 18th, the new end zone turf was starting to be rolled out.

On May 23rd the mid-field logo and the B!G logos were woven into the turf.

And on May 24th IU Volleyball coach Sherry Dunbar gave us the latest update on the field installation, as the end zone graphics are woven into the red turf.

The turf looks spectacular, with the alternating green every five yards, but what really makes it pop is the larger font of the letters in the end zone spelling out 'Indiana'. No more will fans be subject to a field that looks awful on TV.
