The Indiana Hoosiers will have their home opener this Saturday at 7:30 on Big Ten Network when the Idaho Vandals come to Bloomington. Coaches and Players are excited to welcome fans back for the first time since November 2019. Fans will do their best to “Pack the Rock” this Saturday.
1) Teams Have Never Played Each Other
Both schools have been struggled historically in their conferences with Indiana of late picking up steam while Idaho continues to rebuild their football program.
Idaho is coached by Paul Petrino who has been in the Idaho program since 1992
2) Indiana will be a Heavily Favorite.
Even after a disappointing season opener against Iowa Vegas and the public will still be putting money on Indiana
Spread should be at least 17+ points.
Over/Under should be in the range of 52-57
According to https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401282724, they give Indiana a 97% chance of winning the football game..
3) The Hoosiers Offense Will Look for a Bounce back Game.
The Hoosiers offense only scored 6 points while leading in some offensive categories. Offensive Coordinator Nick Sheridan took credit for the Hoosiers poor performance. Quarterback Michael Penix will look to take advantage of Idaho who has been an historically bad football program
Only had 11 total first down
6-18 on third downs
233 all-purpose yards with no touchdowns
Averaged 2.5 yard per carry
Led the time of possession but had three turnovers
