Indiana vs. Wisconsin: By the Numbers
/Written By Sammy Jacobs (@sammyj108)
The Hoosiers are back at it again. This week they invade Camp Randall Stadium to try and keep their slim bowl hopes alive with an upset of the 20th ranked Badgers. Here is the match-up by the numbers.
39-18-2- The Badgers lead the series with 39 wins. The last Hoosier victory came back in 2002 when IU knocked off a ranked Badger team 32-29.
202- The amount of points the Hoosiers have given up in their last three games against Wisconsin.
5- Number of current Hoosier receivers with over 1,000 career receiving yards. The first time that has been accomplished in Big Ten history.
12- Number of years it has been since Indiana has won at Camp Randall Stadium
42- Yards that Tevin Coleman needs to become Indiana’s first 1,000-yard rusher since 2001.
280.6- Average rushing yards per game by Wisconsin this season. Indiana allows 217.4 rushing yards per game.
37.1- Points per game averaged by the Wisconsin offense. The Hoosiers are averaging 43.1 points per contest.
15.2- Points per game allowed by the Wisconsin defense. Indiana’s defense is giving up a whooping 37.4 per game.
Needless to say the Hoosiers face a tough road against a very good Wisconsin team that has had their way against Indiana over the last couple of years. This is a bad matchup for Kevin Wilson’s squad as IU has been bad against the run and the Badger defense has held the Hoosiers to just 21 points over the last three games.
