How Former Hoosiers Fared in Week Five of the 2021 Season

Here are how former IU football players have fared through the first five weeks of the NFL season.
Rodger Saffold – Tennessee Titans (3-2)
Rodger Saffold was active and got the start at guard in the Titans’ win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Saffold has started every game so far this season.
Tevin Coleman – New York Jets (1-4)
Tevin Coleman nearly ran back a kickoff return for a touchdown before being tripped up on the sidelines. Coleman finished the game with two kickoff returns for 92 total yards to go with three carries for 11 yards. Coleman has 21 carries for 73 yards and two catches for 17 yards on the season.
Nate Sudfeld – San Francisco 49ers (2-3)
Nate Sudfeld was called up from the practice squad to backup rookie QB Trey Lance. Sudfeld did not see any game action in the 49ers loss.
Dan Feeney – New York Jets (1-4)
Dan Feeney was active for the Jets loss in London. Feeney saw some snaps on special teams as he has each week so far this season.
Ian Thomas – Carolina Panthers (3-2)
Ian Thomas is on pace to have his most prolific season as a pro. Thomas caught four balls for 40 total yards on Sunday during Carolina’s narrow loss to the Eagles. Thomas has hauled in nine catches for 79 yards this season.
Wes Martin – New York Giants (1-4)
Wes Martin was active for the Giants loss against the Cowboys on Sunday. Martin saw over 50% of the Giants’ offensive snaps at guard during the game.
Brandon Knight – Dallas Cowboys (4-1)
Brandon Knight was inactive for the Cowboys win over the New York Giants.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – Tennessee Titans (3-2)
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was sidelined on Sunday with a hamstring injury. The former IU wideout hopes to get healthy soon and return to the field. Westbrook-Ikhine is week-to-week. He has nine receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown so far this season.
Jason Spriggs – Atlanta Falcons (2-3)
Jason Spriggs was active for the Falcons win over the Jets on Sunday. Spriggs saw snaps primarily on special teams during the victory.
Jamar Johnson – Denver Broncos (3-2)
Jamar Johnson was inactive for the Broncos loss to the Steelers. The rookie defensive back has not been active in a game yet this season.
Jordan Howard – Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)
Jordan Howard is on the Eagles’ practice squad but remained inactive on game day. Howard may get some attention from other teams looking to add a veteran RB to their roster.
