How Former Hoosiers Fared in Week Eight of the NFL Season

Week eight of the NFL season was showtime for former Indiana running backs in the league. Tevin Coleman of the 49ers put up a monster day and Jordan Howard helped propel the Eagles to a road win over the Buffalo Bills.

Tevin Coleman – San Francisco 49ers
Tevin Coleman was having flashbacks from his dominant days as a Hoosier on Sunday. Coleman had the best day of his career in San Francisco's 51-13 win over Carolina, scoring four touchdowns including three in the first half alone. The dynamic running back had two receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown. Coleman amassed 105 yards on just 11 carries with three rushing touchdowns. The 49ers are undefeated so far this season and Tevin Coleman is a huge factor in their offense.

Jordan Howard – Philadelphia Eagles
Jordan Howard and the Eagles ran all over the Bills in a 31-13 blowout victory. Howard has been treated more like a feature back the past few weeks, racking up 23 carries on the day. Howard totaled 96 rushing yards on a 4.2 yards-per-carry average. He also added a 15-yard reception. Halfway through the season, Howard has 100 carries for 443 yards and five touchdowns.

Ian Thomas – Carolina Panthers
Ian Thomas was active but did not record a statistic in Carolina's blowout loss to San Francisco.

Cody Latimer – New York Giants
Cody Latimer had two receptions for 28 yards in New York's loss on the road against Detroit. Latimer has 12 catches for 165 yards so far this season.

Nate Sudfeld – Philadelphia Eagles
Nate Sudfeld was active as a backup quarterback to Carson Wentz in Philly's win over Buffalo.

Chris Covington – Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys were off with a bye week.

Dan Feeney – Los Angeles Chargers
Dan Feeney was active at left guard for the LA Charges in their comeback win against the Bears.

Brandon Knight – Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys were off with a bye week.

Wes Martin – Washington Redskins
Wes Martin was inactive on Thursday for the Redskins loss against Minnesota.

Roger Saffold – Tennessee Titans
Roger Saffold was active at right guard for the Tennessee Titans in their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Titans improved to .500 on the year.

Jason Spriggs – Green Bay Packers
Jason Spriggs remains on Injured Reserve.
