Championship Sunday proved to be somewhat of a letdown for two former Hoosiers. Tevin Coleman of the San Francisco 49ers ran the ball six times for 21 yards before leaving the game with an arm injury. Coleman did not return and will likely be questionable for the Super Bowl. If he is able to play, the Indiana Hoosiers will have a representative active in the Super Bowl for the fifth-straight year. This will be Tevin Coleman's second Super Bowl appearance with his last appearance coming in 2017 when the Falcons infamously blew a 28-3 lead to lose to the Patriots.

In the AFC Championship game, Rodger Saffold and the Tennessee Titans could not hang on to an early 17-7 lead. The Titans dominant rushing attack carried them to the conference title game, but ultimately could not get the job done. Saffold will be back with the Titans next year and hopes to add another season onto his storied career.

Former Hoosier running backs coach Deland McCullough will be coaching in the Super Bowl as part of the Kansas City Chiefs staff. McCullough was the Indiana running backs coach from 2011-2016. He coached the likes of Stephen Houston, Tevin Coleman, Jordan Howard and Devine Redding.
