Fans and Social Media Reacts to Indiana Removing B1G From Uniforms

The end of the 2020 Big Ten football season in Hoosier Country has been dominated by the conversations of how the Big Ten screwed Indiana out of the Big Ten Championship Game, a spot in the Fiesta Bowl and changing the rules to cater to Ohio State. The actions of the Big Ten and the College Football Playoff Selection Committee even drew a response from former IU AD Fred Glass who confirmed what all IU fans have known for decades. The Big Ten had it out to keep IU football at the bottom.

On the eve of the Outback Bowl, Twitter was abuzz again as a tweet from Ryan Cotter pointed out that the Hoosiers had either covered up or removed the ‘B1G’ logo on their bowl uniforms and changed the helmet bumper (top of the face mask) from ‘B1G’ to ‘LEO’, which is Tom Allen’s mantra for his football program.

IU has not said anything official and it still remains to be seen if these are actually how IU will wear their uniforms in Saturday’s Outback Bowl. However, it generated a lot of responses on social media. Here are some of the responses we have seen:
