The Indiana Hoosiers received some good news as star wide receiver Whop Philyor announced that he would be returning for his senior season on Twitter Monday night.
In a long post, Philyor’s main motivation for returning to Bloomington instead of testing the NFL waters was unfinished business. While the Hoosiers did finish the 2019 season 8-5 (5-4), there is still more that the Hoosiers leading receiver wants to accomplish.
Philyor led the Hoosiers with 70 receptions and 1,002 yards including a team-high five touchdown catches in 12 games this season. In three seasons with the Hoosiers Philyor has played in 30 games. He has 126 catches for 1,572 yards and nine touchdowns.
Along with Philyor, the Hoosiers will return receivers Ty Fryfogle, Miles Marshall, Jacolby Hewitt and David Ellis a,omg others in 2020.
