The early signing period for college football is now open and prospects and transfers are inking letters of intent all over the country. Hoosier Huddle will have profiles on all the football signees as well as an update from head coach Tom Allen.

The Hoosiers hit the transfer portal again as they signed former Western Michigan defensive lineman Andre Carter as a graduate transfer.

Carter played five seasons for the Broncos and amassed 134 total tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. Carter is coming off a 2022 season that saw him selected as second-team All-MAC with 68 tackles and a team-best 13.5 tackles for loss with 7.0 sacks. Carter added two forced fumbles, one interception and one safety.

The Hoosiers needed more play makers at the defensive end position and they get one in Carter who will be in the conversation to start as soon as he steps on campus.
