The 2021 countdown continues. The Hoosiers will take on the No. 16 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes on September 4th—less than 70 days away! Today we profile Offensive Lineman Peter Schulz, a walk-on Redshirt Sophomore. @FargoGinger

Name: Peter Schulz

Hometown: Franklin, Michigan

Position: Offensive Lineman 

Year: Redshirt Sophomore

Height/Weight: 6-2/251

A walk-on during the fall 2019 camp, Peter Schulz earned Scout team player of the week honors against Michigan State and Penn State. During the 2020 season, Schulz did not see the field, but he grinded in the classroom and earned himself All-Academic Big Ten Selection honors. 

Coming to Indiana, he was a direct admit into the rigorous Kelly School of Business. His team made it to three straight district finals and earned lineman of the year honors as a senior out of Brother Rice High School.

Schulz has bulked up from 240 pounds last season and will continue to get stronger and faster. This upcoming season Schulz will be looking to get snaps and help lead in his third year on the squad.
